These terms govern your use of this website, including its blog, comments, GitHub sign-in, and AI chat. The website is operated by Javier Iglesias García ("I", "me", or "my"). By using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.
About the website
This is a personal website that provides articles and information about me and my professional experience. It also offers public blog comments and an AI chat that answers questions about me.
The website is provided without charge. Features may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
GitHub account and sign-in
You need a GitHub account to sign in and comment. You are responsible for activity performed through your authenticated session and for keeping your GitHub account secure.
Do not impersonate another person, use an account without permission, or attempt to bypass authentication or moderation controls. GitHub's own terms also apply to your use of GitHub.
Comments and other submissions
You retain ownership of comments and other content you submit. By posting a comment, you grant me a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and technically adapt it as needed to operate and present the website.
You must not submit content that:
- is unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, harassing, hateful, or deliberately abusive;
- infringes another person's privacy, intellectual property, or other rights;
- contains personal data you are not authorised to publish;
- is spam, advertising, malware, or misleading automated content; or
- attempts to disrupt, overload, probe, or compromise the website or its users.
I may moderate, hide, or remove content and may restrict access when I reasonably believe these terms have been breached or action is needed to protect the website or others. I am not obliged to monitor every submission and do not endorse user comments.
AI chat
The AI chat generates responses automatically using information made available about me. Responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for your situation. They are provided for general information only and are not professional advice.
Do not rely on an AI response as the sole basis for an important decision. Do not submit sensitive personal data, confidential information, illegal content, or content you are not authorised to share. Your use of the chat is also subject to the processing described in the Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the website's original articles, design, branding, and other content are owned by me or used under licence and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may link to public pages and use short extracts with appropriate attribution where permitted by law. These terms do not grant permission to republish substantial content, remove ownership notices, or use the website's content or branding in a way that suggests endorsement.
Third-party names, trademarks, content, and services remain the property of their respective owners.
Acceptable use
You must use the website lawfully. You must not interfere with its normal operation, scrape it in a way that degrades the service, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, evade rate limits, or use the website to harm another person.
Third-party services and links
The website relies on third-party services, including GitHub, Cloudflare, OneDollarStats, and DeepInfra, and may link to other websites. I do not control third-party services or content and am not responsible for their availability, security, or practices. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply.

I aim to keep the website useful and available, but it is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. I do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that all content will always be accurate, complete, secure, or current.
Nothing in these terms excludes warranties, rights, or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the website, reliance on its content or AI responses, user comments, or third-party services.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any mandatory consumer right.

Changes and termination
I may update these terms to reflect changes to the website, its providers, or legal requirements. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply from their effective date, without affecting rights or obligations that arose earlier.
You may stop using the website at any time. I may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or enforcement of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be subject to the courts determined by applicable law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of mandatory protections or the right to bring proceedings in any court available to you under applicable consumer law.
